Zurich’s AI scene is moving fast - and AI Builders Zurich is right in the middle of it.
Gianmaria Sbetta is the founder of AI Builders Zurich, bringing together Zurich’s AI community around startups, research, technology and talent. Together with Edo Treccani, who co-founded the community, they are building a platform for the people actually creating and shaping the future of AI in Zurich.
With support from Founderful and Google Cloud, AI Builders has quickly become a meeting point for founders, researchers, engineers, investors and AI enthusiasts across the ecosystem.
On 28 September 2026, the latest edition at Google’s Zurich HQ made that clear.
600+ applications. 250 people in the room. One seriously AI-packed evening.
Bringing Zurich’s AI Community Together
The programme featured Jeff Hawke, Founder & CTO of Odyssey, in conversation with Alex Stöckl from Founderful, alongside presentations from newly funded AI startups including The Tiny Pharma Company, ORIQX, Aionic Labs and Seldon.
But the real value of the evening happened between the sessions.
Founders meeting researchers.
Engineers meeting investors.
Startup teams meeting talent.
Ideas turning into conversations - and potentially, into collaborations.
More Than Just Another AI Event
That is what makes AI Builders interesting.
AI Builders isn’t just another event with talks and presentations. It is becoming a place where Zurich’s AI community actually connects.
And judging by the demand for tickets, there is clearly an appetite for it.
600+ applications for 250 spots says a lot.
What Comes Next?
The momentum around AI in Zurich is hard to ignore. From ambitious startups and cutting-edge research to global technology companies and investors, the ecosystem is continuing to grow.
AI Builders is creating a space where the people driving that growth can meet, exchange ideas and build connections.
We’re looking forward to seeing what gets built next.
